What Is Ollie?
Ollie is a dog food delivery service that determines a meal plan based off a dog’s specific characteristics. It focuses on fresh food that is shipped every 2-8 weeks, depending on the amount needed, to the pet-parent’s home.
The company was founded in New York in 2015 and manufactures its food in its Pennsylvania facility.
How Does It Works?
Similar to other dog food delivery services, pet-parents fill out a questionnaire about the dog that includes their weight, age, breed, activity level, and allergies. Once completed, Ollie runs an algorithm that recommends a precise portion according to how many calories the dog needs. The pet-parent then selects 1 of 4 different recipes – Chicken Goodness, Tasty Lamb Fare, Healthy Turkey Feast, or Hearty Eats Beef.
Ollie uses human-grade ingredients without any artificial flavors or fillers like soy, corn or wheat. All recipes were developed by veterinarians and meet AAFCO guidelines.
Once selected, Ollie prepares the recipe and sends it straight to the pet-parent’s home every 2-8 weeks, depending on the amount needed. The portioned meals are delivered with dry-ice to ensure its freshness. All the pet-parent has to do is store the container in the freezer until it’s ready to be used, and then put it in the refrigerator to thaw.
Ollie allows for flexible regular schedule so the pet-parent will always have the right amount. It also offers flexible meal plans for those pet-parents that want to mix Ollie’s recipe with their kibble. Pet-parents can order either the full, a half or a quarter of the suggested meal plan based off their needs.
